She pitched for two seasons and started at first base for three seasons. Carrie was a member of the 2004 State Championship team. On the mound she has thrown up to 62 mph, and in her senior season she had a record of 8-2. Softball Signs Marissa Thomason(4/25) - RedHawks signed Marissa Thomason an infielder from Blountsville, AL and played for Coach Wayne Murphy at J.B. Pennington High School. In her senior season Marissa batted .307 with a .405 slugging percentage, she had 50 hits, 51 runs scored and 28 RBI. Marissa is the daughter of Lynn and Beverly Thomason.
