Softball: Martin Methodist Ranked NAIA No. 8   printer  

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (2/3) – The 2010 Martin Methodist College Softball team was ranked No. 8 in the NAIA’s 2010 Preseason Softball Poll that was released earlier this week. Martin Methodist has been in the NAIA Top 10 for the last five polls and in the NAIA Top 15 in the last eight polls.
 
Martin Methodist was chosen No. 1 in the 2010 TranSouth Preseason Coaches’ Poll last week. The RedHawks finished the 2009 season ranked No. 9 and was an Elite Eight Team at the NAIA Softball National Championship.
 
The defending TranSouth Regular Season Champions are eager to get on the field for the 2010 season. They will face their first test on February 17th as they host Huntingdon College in a double-header. Martin Methodist will the host the 3rd Annual Martin Methodist College Meltdown Tournament the following weekend. The RedHawks will play Georgetown College, McKendree University, Campbellsville University and Aquinas College in the Meltdown.
